This Lavender essential oil is standardized French Lavender. It is also known as Lavender 40/42, which refers to the ratio percentage of its main isolate components, Linalool and Linalyl Acetate, respectively. While still retaining many of the therapeutic properties inherent to “True Lavender” (Lavendula angustifolia), this oil’s distinctly floral and consistent aroma best suit it for use in personal care products and perfumery. Use it to scent candles, soaps, bath bombs, body lotions, and more.

To decide between “True Lavender” and “Lavender” (Lavender 40/42), consider its intended purpose: for therapeutic use, consider “True Lavender.” For aromatic consistency and scent, Lavender 40/42 is your oil of choice.

Lavender is profoundly healing: a must-have for your home. It is known for its analgesic, antiseptic, antimicrobial, regenerative, and anti-scarring properties: it aids burns, scalds, skin infections, psoriasis, acne, and so on. It helps balance skin sebum, and its antiviral properties make it useful in sanitization. It may treat stress, shock, insomnia, and tension, due to its sedative and antidepressant qualities. Its antispasmodic properties lend well to strains, sprains, cramps, and headaches.

It may be used neat on the skin in moderation.

Essential oils are powerful plant essences that can be used in many ways. From massage oils to room sprays, to skincare to aromatherapeutic blends, these oils are as versatile as they are diverse. When using essential oils by inhalation, they are normally used at full strength, yet when using these oils directly on the skin, the large majority of them MUST be diluted. Because essential oils are so powerful, we do not recommend using them internally.

And one must never forget that Essential Oils are the basis of all natural perfumery, and can be used to make aromatic, bespoke blends for every individual who wishes to embark into the world of natural essences.

Blends Well With: Chamomile (roman & german), lemon, geranium, all eucalyptus, thyme linalol, jasmine, rose, bois de rose, grapefruit, palmarosa, tea tree, rosemary, peppermint, clary sage, mandarin, pine, black pepper, cypress, marjoram cedarwood, bergamot, lemongrass, ravensara.
