Fuller’s Earth is a remarkably absorbent composite rich in varying clay minerals. It is used in everything from litterboxes to cleaning agents to special effects in the film industry. In cosmetic applications, it absorbs excess oil and dirt, making it ideal for face masks and cleansers. Due to its efficacy it is best used on oily and acne-prone skin. May be thinned with bentonite or other favored clays for use on all skin types.
Extraction method: Mined
Shelf life: Indefinite when stored properly
Storage: Keep sealed in a cool, dark place. Heat, oxygen, moisture, and light degrade the product.
May be used in soaps, cleansers, masks, and many other formulations. It may be useful as a thickener in some recipes, or as a mild abrasive. It is prone to clumping when mixed with a liquid— for smoothest blending, whisk slowly into the liquid rather than adding liquid to the clay. To avoid wasting product, start with small measurements and incrementally work your way up. Mix with water for a simple poultice. Not for internal use. Avoid inhalation.
